  1. I love this screenie! It’s free of any homosexual Goofyspouse-influenced headings. Keep up the good work, Ray-chel!

  2. I’m picturing a lovelorn camel crying in Ahkmed’s absence while he is off professing his love for me. They need you so much more than you need me. Don’t do it for me or the kids who might read this. Think of the camel, Ahkmed. Put the keyboard down.

    Comment by goofyspouse — November 20, 2007 @ 11:39 am

  3. The only time I’d ever need you is if I ran out of toilet paper. Besides last time you talked about the “love” between us I posted this but you never replied:

“What the hell is wrong with you? Every time I comment here you give me a lecture about ‘wood’. If you’re that lonely then find someone your own age to fantasize with. I was just saying how your screenies are getting worse. I wasn’t insulting you.
You probably won’t reply to this comment. The same way you haven’t replied to Some one and Randomer. Must be to busy with your 60-something month old neopets account. Good luck Ray-chel.”

    Comment by OMG — November 21, 2007 @ 8:35 am

  4. Ray-chel hasn’t replied. Who would of guessed?

    Comment by OMG — November 27, 2007 @ 6:24 am

  5. What could I possibly say that would make you look any more lonely and sad? *shrug* You do such a fabulous job of that on your own.

    Comment by goofyspouse — November 27, 2007 @ 7:18 am

  6. Sigh. You guys are silly.

    Comment by Newsh — November 27, 2007 @ 7:21 am

  7. Make me look more lonely and sad? Just think about it Ray-chel…

    1) You’re 40 years old and have a Neopets account almost as old as you are.
    2) You have enough balls to insult people online but are too afraid to reveal where you’re doing it from.
    3) You seem to love to talk about ‘wood’ with people 1/3 your age.
    4) You fantasize that you’re a male.

You could say I’m wrong but the truth is I’m not the only person who has pointed these out.

  9. I tend to dislike making fun of people at the internet, because the truth be told, all that’s really happening is that someone semi-retarded is mocking somebody completely retarded to feel better about themselves/to escape whatever shitty reality they have to endure.

Goofyspouse isn’t semi-retarded, but at the end of the day, he’s still making fun of strangers while being 30 years old and playing an over-played meme of a virtual pet game that tends to attract furries by the truckload.

I suppose that it would be hilarious if he were doing something awesome, like hacking accounts and getting butthurt replies from truely retarded people, but unfortunately goofyspouse did not choose that option. Shame too, since I think he would be a wonderful troll (I have nothing against trolling, since I am one myself.)

    Comment by anonymous — November 27, 2007 @ 9:25 pm

  10. That was good but I highly doubt Ray-chel will reply. Too busy with her Neopets and whoever else she ‘plays’ with online.

And just in case Troll never showed up on Neopets here it is.
Troll: A troll is a user of a newsgroup, forum or message board that posts messages with the intent of inciting an argument or flame-war.

    Comment by Aren — November 28, 2007 @ 6:41 am

  11. Man. You guys are obviously too obsessed with being right. Ya’ll just need to calm down–no one needs to win either argument. Sigh.
Calling males females is for elementary children, while responding to inflamed childish comments broadcasts insecurity. I’m not on either side, but really! Grow some self-esteem, both of you.
I think neopets is a lovely site–and I’m in college. I see nothing wrong with playing it as an adult. But the fact remains that younger people, including stupid preteens, also get on the site. You sort have have to see their immaturity as a small hindrance and ignore it, rather than becoming inflamed with their idiocy. You didn’t spout vocabulary as a ten-year-old, either.
So yeah, goofyspouse, you’re funny. It’s just very possible to go too far.

    “ur all luzers”

    Best. Comment. Ever.

So Ahkmed, seriously, can you find another hobby please? You aren’t going to change mine in any way, so this torch you carry for me is just that much more sad. Really.

  15. “You aren’t going to change mine in any way”

If we could reveal which computer you’re hiding behind then changing your hobby wouldn’t be very hard. So as long as you stay a spineless little bitch hiding behind her computer then it will stay the same.

  16. Pfft-

Finding out where he is would not change a damn thing. What would you do? Go to his house, ask him nicely? Use force? (therefore soliciting police attention)…

You can’t DO anything. There’s nothing to DO. Stop wasting everyone’s time.

I simply stated that I loved your query–not that I believed your brain was lacking in any area. I was complimenting your adeptness. I’ll remember not to do so in the future. Good day.

  30. “It concerns me that you are so quick to believe a random stranger would think so little of your intelligence. ”

No, not really. It’s just that during my years of DeviantArt, and encountering the sheer number of anti-trolls in my life, I was mainly believing that you were simply another anti-troll, and thus I felt that I should knock down your sense of esteem; a method which usually shuts them up 99% of the time.

But it’s not like it matters much– the Internets are most certainly not serious business. So much lulz.

    1) XD

    3) Elipses (…)

    4) Gaia Online, Neopets, Subeta, and Marapets in that order.

    5) Youtube

    6) DeviantArt

    7) =^_^=

I was going to add in something about Wikipedia and furries, but nobody likes them anyways.

  39. What about myspace? It seems to fit in your category of commonly accepted and popular internet ideas.

    Comment by Newsh — March 24, 2008 @ 5:39 pm

  40. “What about myspace? It seems to fit in your category of commonly accepted and popular internet ideas.”

Just because an idea is commonly accepted and/or popular doesn’t change the quality of them. I can explain in detail exactly why I think each of those things are horrible, and chances are you might even agree with a few points of mine. For example, Neopets, Marapets, and Youtube are spam-filled communities; Gaia, Subeta, and DeviantArt are places for pseudo-intellectuals to discuss things are a very superficial level and obsess over anime (almost always Naruto); =^_^=, lol, and XD are all cliche emoticons that do nothing to make a statement more meaningful, and elipses have been severely abused by teenagers to the point where I want to cringe when I see them as a substitute for commas.

Well, I was kidding about Wikipedia though; the world needs more free information in addition to free content in general. See the GNU for an accurate idea of my beliefs regarding software.

Oh and regarding furries– they’re just sick perverted bastards that get hard dicks from drawn animal porn. Look at the list of the top furry sites and try to tell me they’re not pornographic.

    Comment by James Taylor — March 29, 2008 @ 8:11 pm

  41. Well, let’s see. . . I /do/ like neopets. But that’s just me. I think marapets is stupid, yes, and I don’t enjoy Youtube either–although the bandwidth at my college is really horrible, so I don’t get to watch much on it, anyway. My friend likes Gaia, but I don’t use it; I don’t know what Subeta is, and DeviatArt is where my other friend puts up her photography. I think it depends on how you use the sites.
I’m glad you like Wiki–although I have found some strange facts stuck in there. Like, not on-topic, strange statements.
I actually just found out what furries were while I was researching personality disorders for a paper. Creepy. Really. Really. Creepy.
So, in summary, I agree with you. Sorry if I seemed a bit acerbic at first.

  42. @ “OMG”
You rock. I kinda hate you because you make me waste time – in the purest most wasteful form of the ‘waste’, masturbation&getting high is wasted time too but at least you feed good – but God you’re so fucking funny. Completely unintentional, I’m sure, but still man… here go my comments on some of your gems on this comment thread:

“Make me look more lonely and sad? Just think about it Ray-chel…”
He has, he did. I’m sure he hates himself for wasting brainpower on your behalf. You’re just irresistible, aren’t you?

“1) You’re 40 years old and have a Neopets account almost as old as you are.”

several comments: a) math is awesome, learn some. b) you’re X yrs old, hate neopets, yet here you are in every comment box, wasting your time flaming/hating people who waste their time on neopets. Draw some conclusions from that. Even if you assume Ray is the lowest form of life, you, as a supposed superior to him in every way, shouldn’t be rubbing it in, coming here every time, should you?

“2) You have enough balls to insult people online but are too afraid to reveal where you’re doing it from.”

whereas you live in…? exact address please. No, wait. you’d probably type it without thinking once(…). It’s a bad idea to post where you live online. Freaks exist, endangering even other freaks, so, let me protect you from yourself and tell you not to: “not to”

“3) You seem to love to talk about ‘wood’ with people 1/3 your age.”

You seem to love coming back, person 1/3 his age! If nothing you arent mature/civilised enough to respect someone 3 times your age. And are you sure you managed to calculate the age ratio correctly? you failed miserably the last time you tried math.

    “4) You fantasize that you’re a male.”

As do I. I’m a male, and in my fantasies, whatever they consist of, I’m always a male. And you?

I could go on, but enough with the fun.

    @ James Taylor

“Just because an idea is commonly accepted and/or popular doesn’t change the quality of them”
    Absolutely.

“(neopets et al) are spam-filled communities;”
    True.

“DeviantArt are places for pseudo-intellectuals to discuss things are a very superficial level and obsess over anime (almost always Naruto)”
Funny because its true. How many people realise this, I wonder?

There are sites that I would like to destroy as well (most social networking sites – Hi5 MUST die). If i really set my mind to it, I probably could, too.

However you can’t really say that. 1) even the worst possible site might give joy to some people. If even one person enjoys or finds use in Hi5, that makes it worth the “space it takes on the internet”; there’s plenty of it. You can choose to avoid the sites that annoy you, as I do Hi5.

For example, DeviantArt is all that, but not _just_ all that. It is statistically impossible that the site hasn’t been used by at least one serious artist for his profession. It is a well-written site and does what it does well.
I would use it if I were an artist needing a place to exhibit my work and didnt have the coding skills|money to make/buy myself a completely unique one. I wouldn’t discuss naruto and people I didn’t like their tone|level, I’d just ignore.

Same with neopets. Countless idiots, spam, scams but not JUST idiots, spam and scams. It’s a game. Grown people play games too. Some people like that game, because in fact its pretty f*cking hard to get your ‘pet’ to be the smartest between i dont know how many hundred million pets. It’s challenging. So we (I) play the game and ignore
the bad stuff, its not that much in your face to make you leave (IMHO).

“=^_^=, lol, and XD are all cliche emoticons…”
    yes,
“..that do nothing to make a statement more meaningful”
yes and no. the first tickles my gag reflex. seriously. The second I have gotten used to. As for :) :( :[ XD etc, they dont make statements more meaningful but they convey your tone/mood, so they are not essentially completely useless. Compare:
"Fuck you Ray ;) you bastard with the smartest pet XD"
    with
"Fuck you Ray, you bastard with the smartest pet"
(@Ray: no offense taken, i hope, you bastard :) ) (<---see? some -minimal- use)

I dont really use emoticons in emails/neomails/etc, however I have found that my writing style has often been misunderstood. Only today someone told me that they wanted something of mine worth 95K and I explained that they could get the same avatar by buying something cheaper (albeit not from me). They thought I was being an asshole where in fact I was saving them "money". If i'd used a few "XD LOLz0rZ :) :} ;]“s they might have understood it better.

(And James, I’m answering to your arguments respectfully, as opposed to ‘OMG’ where I’m completely pissing all over his face, because you make compelling arguments and our opinions differ only slightly)

Pardon my poor English, it’s my second language.
(That should give you a hint as to where I am, OMG! Narrow it down and come shoot me in the head for offending the handful of your IQ points! I deserve it. I really should leave sleeping dogs lie.)

I don’t literally want to destroy them, and even with those bad sites, they do have a large degree of usefulness granted that they’re used appropriately. I suppose that the magic word is that “Used Appropriately”. As a matter of fact, that’s where most of my hatred towards Web 2.0 and how unbalanced they are with their philosophy. Sure, “Groupthink” (an Orwellian term for a lack of better word) is a great thing and there’s beauty behind it, but a group can be its own worst enemy when you introduce the same people that click on ads (IE: the totally ignorant– OMG is a textbook example of one).

That’s really the exact flaw with Neopets right now, which is disappointing for me, as I liked Neopets for it’s large strategic component behind it. As a matter of fact, that very “A-Group-Is-Its-Own-Enemy” drive behind Neopets is what’s compelling me to eventually launch a site about the negatives of Neopets and sites similar to it (not under this pseudonym though, lol).

-”Yes and no. the first tickles my gag reflex. seriously. The second I have gotten used to. While XD and the like have their degree of usefulness, I suppose the reason I hate them is more of personal bias. I’ve seen “lol” to the point where I use it ironically, and “XD” and “=^_^=” just annoys the bugger out of me because they’ve largely became subject to Wapanese abuse over the recent millennium.

Also, thank you foutus and Newish for responding in a dignified manner. =P
